When it is about fit-for-future building services technology, there is no way around this industry fair.
Bigger, bolder, more digital, more connected, more forward-looking: The eighth edition of GET NORD was another sequel to a success story. Occupying as many as nine halls for the first time, the fair saw the number of exhibitors climb to over 650, and the number of industry visitors to a total of 39,000, matching pre-pandemic levels. What is more, northern Germany’s leading business fair for building services engineering succeeded in driving the integration of electrical engineering, heating, plumbing and air conditioning trades to new heights, thereby making a major contribution to an effective energy and heating transition. “Since the inaugural fair in 2008, it has been a key mission of GET NORD to be a source of inspiration to the industry and drive technology development by merging the electrical engineering and building services trades. In times of ever more stringent requirements – including areas such as sector coupling or integration of renewable energies – all stakeholders must work together to create efficient, sustainable and smart buildings,” says Danny Enwerem, Director of GET NORD.

Through forums, lectures, joint activities, competitions and special exhibitions, Danny Enwerem and his team make sure that the HMC-organised biennial event offers representatives of the building services trades many opportunities to present, or learn about, new trends, exchange information, and build expert knowledge. For example, the AI CENTER@GET NORD provided fascinating insights into potential AI applications. Visitors enjoyed a programme of intriguing presentations on topics such as the digital transformation, or safety in building services engineering. This was complemented by practical knowledge shared at the Energy@GET NORD forum on topics such as digital time tracking or building information modelling. The Creator Stage, where content creators from the electrical and building services trades showcased their daily work, likewise meet with plenty of interest, inspiring many conversations between professionals. The best influencers from the building services sector were awarded an “SHKStar” prize at the meeting place of the scene in Hall B6. Other points of attraction included the PowerPark and the TechnikPark, where trainees were able to try out some of the things they had learnt. A jury selected the German Champions of the equipment mechanics (building services) and plumbing trades to be honoured. The Start-up section was highly frequented, as well.
The next GET NORD will take place from 19 to 21 November 2026. One thing is certain: As the industry’s foremost meeting place, it will once more bring together the key players and drivers of the energy transition.
